Live Arrival Guarantee Policy

Buy Exotic Fish is dedicated to providing our aquarium community with healthy, high-quality aquatic livestock. To support this commitment, we offer a Live Arrival Guarantee on all purchases through our mail-order service.

NOTE: WE ONLY SHIP ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS. ORDERS PLACED ON ANY OF THESE DAYS WILL SHIP THE FOLLOWING MONDDAY.

Guarantee Terms & Conditions

* Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable and are not covered under this guarantee.

* This guarantee does not cover delays caused by UPS or any other carrier.

* The guarantee is void once the fish has been placed inside your tank 

* Returns or claims based on fish size or tank compatibility are not accepted.

* Banned Species Policy: Buy Exotic Fish will not sell species that are banned in CA and most states

In the Event of Loss During Transit

In the rare case that a fish arrives deceased or in poor condition, you must comply with the following steps for a claim to be considered:

1. Call or text us immediately after confirming the fish arrived dead. Do not just throw open the bag and throw away the fish without our confirmation.

2. Provide a continuous unboxing video showing the package being cut open and the fish inside, clearly documenting its condition. No video = no proof; claims without video will be denied.

3. Claims are valid only if the fish is dead on arrival or arrives in poor condition and subsequently dies.

4. We do not cover DOA or freight costs resulting from shipping delays, as these circumstances are beyond our control.

5. Late Deliveries:  If your shipment arrives late, you must file a claim directly with the shipping carrier.

Delivery & Acceptance Requirements

* Shipments must be received on the first delivery attempt. If you are not available to accept delivery, the Live Arrival Guarantee is void.

* Damaged Packages If the outer box appears damaged, notify the delivery driver immediately and open the package in their presence to document any problems. Failure to do so may void the guarantee.

Note: Your tank and water quality must be in the proper condition suitable for the fish(es) you are ordering.
